Several cart paths were completed in 2008 plus
#14 and #15 Tees early in the 2009 Fiscal year thanks to our
hard working volunteers.
Some
newer equipment purchases are planned this year to give our
new Superintendent, Mike Mc Gee, the tools he needs for
course improvements he has planned for 2009.
Other
cart path construction plans in 2009 include paths at #8
Fairway, #9 Tee, #18 Fairway and #7 Fairway as well
as additional
bridges over drainage ditches at #3 east side of the fairway,
#5 west side of the fairway and #11 over the first ditch.
The
committee has formulated future plans, started several years
ago, to eventually join existing paths. Donations
for these paths are greatly appreciated by imbedding
a bronze
plaque in the concrete with the donors name(s) commemorating
10 yards
of concrete poured. The committee selects the path to
be poured with the donated funds in order to pour as much
footage as
possible for the least expense.
Anyone
interested in assisting the committee, (Steve Daderian, Dennis
Kelley and Dick Brown) is invited to
our meetings
to discuss future the plans. The committee appreciates
all the
help they have received. Everyone’s opinion is welcome
and should be expressed at the early planning stage. We hope
you will continue helping us improve our beautiful course.
We are headed in a very positive direction under the supervision
of Mike Mc Gee and his new and rejuvenated maintenance crew.
